The park is fresh and green,
full of kids like me
full of red balloons,
with lilacs, with blossoming branches.
Swings, sisters with the winds,
swing me too
to soar high into space
over houses, trees and people.
To touch the sky with my hand,
for the holiday - Children's Day,
to all the children of the earth
warm greetings to send!
"Children's Holiday"
Leda Mileva
Dear little, big and already grown children, happy holiday!
Be cheerful, be laughing, be happy and shout and laugh our lives from dawn to dusk!
Dear friends of "Photo Moments", today, on this cheerful day filled with children's laughter, I decided to introduce you to a playground located in the city of Rakovski.
I discovered it quite by accident when I was a guest of Baba Metsa, Kuma Lisa, Rabbit, Wolf, Llama, Hedgehog and many other characters from fairy tales, whose home is the park "Fairy Tale Forest", which is located next door.
That is why my path also led me to this remarkable playground of Rakovski's children.
A playground like any other, some of you will exclaim!
Yes, it is like that - there are swings, climbing frames, slides like any playground.
It is surrounded by a fence so that the little ones can run freely.
The flooring is special so that knees, elbows and feet are less bruised.
Even more – in the neighborhood, not just bike lanes have been built, but streets with pedestrian paths and road signs. The little ones, while riding their bikes, could learn the rules of the road, which is very, very important!
There is even a fitness area nearby for the older Batkovites.
All children can come to the playground and have real fun! Jumping, running, kicking a ball, rolling on the ground, chasing each other, laughing...
All children...
In fact, not all children can chase and run!
There are children who would very much like to chase with the other children, run with the others, jump, skate...
...but they can't...
Not because they don't want to! On the contrary - they want a lot, aren't they children too! They even want much more than the others because they just can't...
Luckily, at this playground I spotted these amazing swings and merry-go-rounds for children in wheelchairs!
All children deserve to play!
All!
Play and have fun together, dear children!
How do you get to the city of Rakovski?
Rakovski is a city in southern Bulgaria, Plovdiv district, the administrative center of Rakovski municipality.
It is named after the prominent Bulgarian national revolutionary Georgi Stoykov Rakovski, known as Georgi Sava Rakovski.
The city was created in 1966 by the merger of three villages - General Nikolaevo, Sekirovo and Parcevich, in the past called Kalachlii, Baltaja and Alifakakh respectively.
The villages are inhabited by the descendants of Paulicians who converted to Catholicism in the 17th - 19th centuries.
Rakovski stands at:
161 kilometers (about 1 hour and 47 minutes by car) from the capital
29 kilometers (about 38 minutes by car) from the city of Plovdiv
345 kilometers (about 3 hours and 55 minutes by car) from the city of Varna
229 kilometers (about 2 hours and 07 minutes by car) from the city of Burgas
How do you get to the adapted playground in Rakovski?
The adapted playground is adjacent to the "Fairytale Forest" park, which is located off "G.S. Rakovski" street between the "Sekirovo" and "General Nikolaevo" neighborhoods.
Tales that the park will tell you:
Nearby is the "G.S. Rakovski" stadium, which is a great landmark.
What can be seen nearby?
Brezovo is located 16 kilometers east of Rakovski (about 17 minutes by car).
In Brezovo on a weekday, stop by the municipality to see the exhibition dedicated to Beethoven's best portraitist - Mincho Katsarov.
Another great Bulgarian artist - Zlatyo Boyadzhiev - is from Brezovo. His house in the town of Brezovo is open for visits and anyone can see it.
27 kilometers northeast of the town of Rakovski (about 29 minutes by car) you will find the village of Babek. "Babek" dam is located nearby, near which you can take a wonderful walk.
Just 10 kilometers north of the village of Babek (about 16 minutes by car) you will find the Svezhen Architectural and Historical Reserve.
In the village of Svezhen, you can visit the church "Holy Apostles Peter and Paul".
You can visit the ruins of the old church "St. George", near which the foundations have been discovered - the remains of cells plastered with mud plaster on the walls, which are supposed to have been inhabited by the scribes-calligraphers of the Adjarian literary school.
I wish carefree children's games!
And as a finale, my dear friends,
you shouldn't miss a look
the special album with photo moments –
discovered, experienced, captured and shared with you!
