Jesus - The Baby in the Bethlehem Manger (Part 3)

Updated: 6 days ago

About 700 years before the birth of Jesus, the prophet Isaiah prophesied:

Because a Child was born to us, a Son was given to us.

And the government will be on His shoulder.

And His name will be: Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

His rule and peace will continually increase upon David's throne and upon his kingdom, to establish and uphold it, by justice and by righteousness, from now and forever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will do this.

Isaiah 9:6-7

Jesus is the Prince of Peace

Jesus was born to reconcile us to God, bearing God's wrath and God's punishment for our sins in our place.

Because the Father was pleased to instill in Him the perfect fullness and through Him to reconcile everything to Himself - both earthly and heavenly, by making peace through Him with the blood shed on His cross. And you, who were once removed and by disposition enemies in your evil deeds, reconciled now through His death in His fleshly body, to present you before Himself holy, blameless and blameless.

The Epistle of the Apostle Paul to the Colossians 1:19-22

And so, justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.

The Epistle of the Apostle Paul to the Romans 5:1

All things are of God, who reconciled us to himself through [Jesus] Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation, that is, that God in Christ was reconciling the world to himself, not imputing their trespasses to men, and that entrust us with the message of reconciliation.

And so we are ambassadors from Christ's side, as if God is begging through us: we beg you from Christ's side, be reconciled to God.

The Second Epistle of the Apostle Paul to the Corinthians 5:18-20

And may the God of peace himself sanctify you completely and may your spirit, soul and body be preserved intact without vice until the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

The First Epistle of the Apostle Paul to the Thessalonians 5:23

Jesus is the only mediator (intercessor) between God and people

God, our Savior, wants all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

For there is but one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, Who, as a timely testimony of this, gave Himself a ransom for all.

The First Epistle of the Apostle Paul to Timothy 2:4-6

Who will accuse God's elect?

Is it God who justifies them?

Who is he to judge them?

Is Christ Jesus, Who died and was raised from the dead, Who is at the right hand of God and Who intercedes for us?

The Epistle of the Apostle Paul to the Romans 8:33-34

That is why he can perfectly save those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them.

Hebrews 7:25

Jesus is the way and the truth and the life

Jesus says to him:

"I am the way and the truth and the life.

No one comes to the Father except through me."

The Holy Gospel of John 14:6

Jesus Christ is the only way of salvation!

There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.

Acts 4:12

Then Jesus said to the Jews who believed in Him:

"If you abide in My teaching, you are truly My disciples, and you will know the truth and the truth will set you free."

They answered him:

"We are Abraham's seed and have never been servants to anyone, as You say:

"You will become free".

Jesus answered them:

"Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who commits sin is a servant of sin. And the servant does not remain in the house forever, the son remains forever. Therefore, if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed."

The Holy Gospel of John 8:31-36

During the interrogation by Pilate, Jesus stated:

For this I was born and for this I came into the world, to testify to the truth.

Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice.

The Holy Gospel of John 18:37

Jesus is the resurrection and the life

Jesus said to her:

"I am the resurrection and the life. He that believeth in Me, though he die, yet shall he live."

The Holy Gospel of John 11:25

For this is the will of My Father:

everyone who sees the Son and believes in him may have eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day...

Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes in Me has eternal life.

The Holy Gospel of John 6:40, 47

Jesus lifted up his eyes to heaven and said:

Father, the time has come. Glorify Your Son, that Your Son may also glorify You, according to how You have given Him authority over all creation to give eternal life to all whom You have given Him. And this is eternal life, to know You, the one true God and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.

The Holy Gospel of John 17:1-3

John the Baptist testifies about Jesus:

Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever does not listen to the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.

The Holy Gospel of John 3:36

The apostle John wrote in his first epistle:

For what God declares is that He testified of His Son. Whoever believes in the Son of God has this testimony in himself; he who does not believe God has made Him a liar, because he has not believed the testimony that God testified about His Son. And the testimony is that God has given us eternal life and that this life is in His Son. He that hath the Son hath this life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have this life.

These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life [and believe in the name of the Son of God].

The First Epistle of the Apostle John 5:9-13

Jesus is the door to heaven

Jesus said of Himself:

I am the door. Through Me, if anyone enters, he will be saved.

The Holy Gospel of John 10:9

Enter through the narrow gate, for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and many are those who pass through them. Because narrow is the gate and narrow is the way that leads to life, and there are few who find them.

Not everyone who says to Me:

"Lord! Lord!", will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven.

The Holy Gospel from Matthew 7:13-14

Jesus is the light of the world

I came as the light of the world, so that no one who believes in Me should remain in darkness.

The Holy Gospel of John 12:46

Jesus spoke to them again, saying:

"I am the light of the world.

Whoever follows Me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life."

The Holy Gospel of John 8:12

In Him was life, and life was the light of men.

And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not understand it.

The Holy Gospel from John 1:4-5

And this is the judgment: light came into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For everyone who does evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds be revealed, but he who walks according to the truth comes to the light, so that his deeds may be revealed, because they are done according to God.

The Holy Gospel of John 3:19-21

Jesus is the bread of life

Jesus preached:

I am the bread of life.

Whoever comes to me will never hunger, and whoever believes in me will never thirst...

I am the bread of life.

Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness and still died.

This is the bread that comes down from heaven, that one may eat of it and not die.

I am the living bread that came down from heaven.

If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever.

Yea, and the bread which I will give is My flesh [which I will give] for the life of the world...

As the living Father sent Me, and I live through the Father, so he who feeds on Me will live through Me.

This is the bread that came down from heaven.

He who eats this bread will live forever, not as your fathers ate and died.

The Holy Gospel of John 6:35,48-51, 57-58

Jesus is the vine

I am the true vine and my Father is the husbandman.

I am the vine, you are the branches.

He who abides in Me and I in him bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing.

If anyone does not abide in Me, he is thrown out like a stick and withers and they gather them and throw them into the fire and they burn.

If you abide in Me and My words abide in you, ask whatever you desire and it will be done for you.

In this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit and so you will be My disciples.

The Holy Gospel of John 15:1-8

Jesus is the good shepherd

I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep...

I am the good shepherd, and I know mine, and mine know me, even as the Father knoweth me, and I know the Father, and I lay down my life for the sheep. And I have other sheep that are not of this fold and I must bring them, and they will hear my voice and become one flock with one shepherd...

My sheep hear My voice and I know them and they follow Me.

And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish, and no one shall snatch them out of My hand. My Father who gave them to Me is greater than all, and no one can snatch them out of the Father's hand.

I and the Father are one.

The Holy Gospel of John 10:11, 14-16,28-30

Jesus is the first and the last, the beginning and the end

I am Alpha and Omega, says the Lord God, who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty…

I am the first and the last and the living.

I was dead, and behold, I live forever and ever, and I have the keys of death and hell.

Revelation of John 1:8, 17-18

I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end.

To the thirsty I will give freely from the fountain of the water of life.

Revelation of John 21:6

I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.

Revelation of John 22:13
