A father had three sons.
One day he called them and said:
"I'll give the three of you a bag of gold each." Walk the world and search for the most precious fruit. Whoever of you brings it to me, I will give him half of my wealth.
The three sons took the purses and went to three countries in the world to look for the most expensive fruit.
After three years, the three returned to their father.
"Well," he said, turning to his eldest son, "did he bring me the most precious fruit?"
And he said to him:
"The most precious fruit, Dad, must be the one that is the sweetest." And I bought you a bunch of grapes. Of all the fruits that our earth produces, the grape is the sweetest fruit.
“You did well, son,” replied the father, “you brought me good fruit. And what fruit did you bring me?” he turned to his middle son.
– Dad, I think the most precious fruit is the one that is found the least. That's why I went to the southern countries and bought you the rare fruits that don't grow here. I bought you coconuts, oranges, dates, bananas, a little of all the other rare fruits. Here you go: choose the one you like.
"You did well, son, you brought me some good fruit. I will choose one of them," said his father.
Then he turned to his youngest son:
- And you, my son, what have you brought me? Why do you return empty-handed?
– It is true, father, that I am returning empty-handed. But the money you gave me, I did not spend on expensive fruits. I entered a school, father. And there the teachers and the books taught me for three whole years. The fruits that I have picked are not visible, because they are in my heart and mind. I think, father, that they are also precious fruits…
Hearing these words, the father was delighted and said:
- You have brought me the most precious fruits, son! You deserve the reward. For there are no more precious fruits than those that knowledge gives to man.

The city was created in 1966 by the merger of three villages - General Nikolaevo, Sekirovo and Parchevich, in the past called Kaluchliy, Baltadzha and Alifakh respectively.
The villages were inhabited by descendants of Paulicians who converted to Catholicism in the 17th - 19th centuries.
