My dear friends, in this journey we will visit picturesque village of Belitsa, the municipality of Laki, located in the middle of the highly rugged and phenomenally beautiful Prespa section of the Western Rhodopes.

How to get to here?

If you are driving along the main road Asenovgrad - Smolyan, turn left at the Laki turnoff.

You will pass through the unique and extremely beautiful and authentic village of Yugovo.

At the junction for Lucky, turn left in the direction of Belitsa.

You will find the natural landmark "Rock Bridge" about a kilometer before the first houses of the village.

At the first cutted in the rocks tunnel, look around for a yellow sign posted on a tree by the road itself.

You can leave your car by the side of the road on the right. Belishka River flows by the road.

And there you will find the natural rock bridge that the river has carved through the rock, a process that has lasted for millennia.

The natural phenomenon is also known by the names "Shapran hole" and "Ercupria" (in some sources "Er cupria"). That is why some of you may also meet him under these names.

The place is magical! The waters of the river flow slowly, as they did millennia ago.

Walking along the river is a charm - the silence envelops everything around!

On the way to the village, you will pass through two tunnels artificially dug into the rocks.

Belitsa is located on the right bank of the Belishka River, between the hills of Gradishte and Krushevska Planina.

Nearby you will also find the old village of Hambar Dere. Some scenes from the movie "Vreme razdelno" were filmed there.
