Hello, dear travelers!
I will gladly share with you my journey to this interesting and not so well-known rock bridge, located among the charming Rhodopes near the village of Mostovo, Asenovgrad municipality.
How to get to the village of Mostovo?
The starting point is the city of Asenovgrad. Go in the direction of Kardzhali and after the village of Cherven turn right. Next are the villages of Gornoslav and Oreshets. In the middle of the Yurta area there is a sign pointing to a picturesque asphalt road, which is in excellent condition.
The road to the village is good but narrow and you should be careful while driving. Mostovo lies in the Rhodope Dobrostan hill and is surrounded by exquisite beauty!
Watch for detours along the road, from which you can see a charming panorama towards Mostovo!
The slopes of the Rhodopes are majestic and bring peace!
Soon you will be in front of the sign for the village of Mostovo, where you should leave your car by the side of the road.
The Rock Bridge signposts will inform you of the direction.
As you can see from the yellow signs, to see this interesting rock bridge, we will walk two separate paths.
Both trails are very short and their start is right next to the road, so in total the whole walk will last about 30 minutes.
The river Mostovska Sushitsa flows through the village. The river was "too lazy" to go around the rock, so it decided to go through it.
It is here that the river enters under the mountain.
Just don't cross your mind to get into the water! Be very careful!
The place where the water "comes out" is on the other side of the slope. To do this, you go back, cross the road and follow the path down to the river.
Both trails are easy to walk.
Here is the place from where Mostovska Sushitsa "comes out" through the rock.
In case the river is not full, you can jump over its waters and go inland - right under the rock bridge itself.
The view is magnificent!
Be careful on the rock, if it's wet, you might slip!
We will end today's journey with these majestic views of the Rhodope Dobrostan hill!
I wish you a wonderful walk!
