The proud and old Balkan, despite his years and his dignified age, is too vain!

He adores his reflections in the clear waters of the Dushantsi Dam.

He never fails to look at himself in them – in spring, in autumn, in summer.
In every season!
But he is most interested in them in winter, when he has thrown over his body a thick white winter coat.
Look at him flirting!

He's beautiful! There's no doubt about it!

Dear friends, I present to you a winter photo shoot on the old and proud Balkans in Dushantsi's photo studio!
"Dushantsi" is suitable for outings, picnics, water sports and fishing.
It is beautiful in every season!

Enjoy the Dushantsi Dam in the summer!

Enjoy Dushantsi Dam in the fall!
How to get to the village of Dushantsi?
Dushantsi is a village in Central Bulgaria. It is located in Pirdop Municipality, Sofia Region.
The village of Dushantsi is located:
88 kilometers (about 1 hour and 20 minutes by car) from the capital
115 kilometers (about 1 hour and 40 minutes by car) from the city of Plovdiv
412 kilometers (about 5 hours and 30 minutes by car) from the city of Varna
300 kilometers (about 3 hours and 30 minutes by car) from the city of Burgas
25 kilometers (about 34 minutes by car) from the city of Koprivshtitsa
How to get to Dushantsi Dam?
The most convenient way to get to the Dushantsi Dam is by car along the Sub-Balkan Road* Sofia – Karlovo – Burgas.
*The Republican Road I-6, also known as the Sub-Balkan Road, is a first-class road in the Republican Road Network of Bulgaria with a west-east direction, passing through the territory of nine districts: Kyustendil, Pernik, Sofia Region, Sofia, Plovdiv, Starozagorsk, Sliven, Yambol and Burgas.
Its total length is 508.5 km, making it the longest republican road in Bulgaria.
If you are traveling from Sofia, take the right turn, immediately after the town of Pirdop.
From Karlovo, take the turnoff for the village of Anton, continuing straight until you reach the village of Dushantsi. Once in the village, continue straight along the main street until you reach the beautiful parking lot in front of the dam wall.
